This walk was researched and led, as usual for the \u201cMay history walk\u201d, by Mike Johnson (photo shows group starting out on the walk). A brief summary of the buildings seen on the walk is given below.<\/p>\n<p>The Group now has a summer break and the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>next meeting will be in the village hall on Monday October 31st<\/strong><\/span>. More details about this and the rest of the new programme will be publicised nearer the time.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/martonvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/green-man_0975.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-855\" src=\"http:\/\/martonvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/green-man_0975-286x300.jpg\" alt=\"green man_0975\" width=\"286\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/martonvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/green-man_0975-286x300.jpg 286w, https:\/\/martonvillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/green-man_0975.jpg 381w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 286px) 100vw, 286px\" \/><\/a>Mike started the walk at the Green Man, which, in the days of stagecoaches, was one of Dunchurch\u2019s many coaching inns. He was born in 1809 and died in 1860.
